Two sales later this month

The catalogues for both the 2019 Cape Mare & Weanling Sale and the Moutonshoek Dispersal Sale are available in hard copy and live online and can be viewed at www.bsa.co.za

No fewer than 173 lots have been catalogued for the Cape Mare and Weanling Sale this year, with the one day sale set to take place at the lavish Mistico Equestrian Centre, just outside Paarl, on May 21.

Canford Cliffs

This year’s catalogue consists of 158 mares or fillies for stud, as well as 14 weanlings, and a single yearling.

The Cape Mare Sale will feature mares in foal to such high class stallions as Canford Cliffs, Captain Of All, Coup De Grace, Duke Of Marmalade, Elusive Fort, Erupt, Flower Alley, Futura, Gimmethegreenlight, Gold Standard, Jackson, Judpot, Legislate, Louis The King, Master Of My Fate, Oratorio, Pathfork, Philanthropist, Pomodoro, Quasillo, Querari, Rafeef, Sudden Storm, The United States,Time Thief, Twice Over,Var, Vercingetorix, Visionaire, What A Winter, Where’s That Tiger, William Longsword and Wylie Hall.

Weanlings on offer include lots by Captain Of All,  Dynasty, Elusive Fort, Futura, Global View, Quasillo, Twice Over,William Longsword, and Wylie Hall.

Moutonshoek will hold their dispersal sale at the farm two days later, with 180 horses catalogued on the auction.

This dispersal sale, an auction where lots sell with no reserve, will offer buyers the chance to acquire some very exciting broodmares, weanlings and yearlings, with some former outstanding retired gallopers, such as Bezanova, Forest Indigo and Royal Bencher, also on offer.
