Lear Jets & Other Flyers!

Meet some more Future Stars

The Sporting Post is once again proud to partner with BUSH to bring you the cream of this season’s foal crop – our future stars.

Outstanding prizes will again be offered for the final time this month to readers, who are asked to select the foal of the month.

This week we have six foals to showcase – a trio boarding at the wonderful Winterbach Stud; two youngsters from the KZN-based Camargue Stud, and one individual from veteran hobby breeder Geoff van Lear.

Sherwin Jerrier (f) Master Of My Fate ex Regardstobroadway – born 4 November (Pic- Romi Bettison)

Boarding at Winterbach Stud, Sherwin Jerrier bred an impressive Master Of My Fate filly out of two-time winning Var mare Regardstobroadway.

Mr & Mrs Devine (c) Gimmethegreenlight ex Come Fly With Me – born 13 November (Romi Bettison)

Next up is a powerful Gimmethegreenlight colt bred by Mr and Mrs Henry Devine. Out of five-time winning Jet Master mare Come Fly With Me, this foal looks the part!

Camargue Stud (f) Erupt ex Daily Flight – born 28 November (Pic- Candiese Lenferna)

Camargue Stud brings two youngsters to the table this week –  the first being a stunning Erupt filly out of Jet Master mare Daily Flight. A late foal, she already turns heads.

Camargue Stud (c) Querari ex Vino Veritas – born 25 October (Pic- Candiese Lenferna)

Their second foal is a Querari colt. Out of five-time winning Silvano mare Vino Veritas, this colt could be one to follow.

Geoff Van Lear (f) Vercingetorix ex Schippers – born 8 October

Our last youngster is a Vercingetorix filly out of the Gr2 and Gr3 winning mare, Schippers. The mare is by Var out of the Gr3 winning mare Fair Rosalind. Geoff van Lear has had terrific success with this family!

With just weeks left of the year, breeders are invited to submit pics of their superstars to [email protected]. Please detail date of birth, sex, breeding – and any related news.
