Champagne At Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Today

First due off @ 12h20

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth is alongside Turffontein this afternoon with the first due off at 12h20.

The main event on today’s ten-race programme is the Gr3 Champagne Stakes (1200m).

Kaiboy from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable takes his place in Race 1 and he should give punters a good start to the day.

He produced a promising debut effort over 1100m on this course. He was slow into stride, raced from just off the pace and stayed on well to finish second.

The son of One World would have gained from the experience.

Aldo Domeyer is booked to ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

Trainer Adam Marcus sends out Augusta Blue in Race 9.

He should have finished much closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in running.

He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this course and distance.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight has cracked pole position and if all goes according to plan in running, he may be the one to cause the upset.

Craig Bantam is not riding today.
