Wavin' Flag - disappointing and has it all to do at the weights

The countdown to a grand finale of the 2015 Charity Turf Challenge has begun! Whilst its valuable points in the bag for the top 10, the competition is definitely not done and dusted as 44 points can be scored in the Gr1 Mercury Sprint on Saturday, 18 July.

This leads into “Super Saturday” at Greyville Racecourse, 25 July which will feature the Gr1 eLan Property Group Gold Cup (worth 44 points plus 5 bonus points to the winner), Gr1 Champions Cup (worth 44 points), Gr.2 Gold Bracelet (worth 29 points), Listed Darley Arabian (worth 2 points to the winner) and the Listed Umgeni Handicap (worth 2 points to the winner). With a total of 126 points (including the 5 bonus points) on offer for the above features, we are in for a thrilling finish to the 2015 competition!

There were no major point scoring races over the past week and the only horse to feature on the points scoring table was Storm Warning – 1 point.

On “Super Saturday” there will be 5 spot prize draws on Tellytrack. This is a computer generated, random draw from all entrants and not dependent on points earned. Each winner will receive a R500 telephone betting deposit kindly sponsored by TAB GOLD “The Intelligent Bet”.

The African Horse Sickness Trust (Reg. No. IT 2043/2005/PMB) is the 2015 Champions Season Charity Turf Challenge beneficiary.

As and when Charity Turf Challenge horses earn points, the Racing South Africa website and email data-base will be updated.
