World’s Best from the Mike de Kock stable takes his place in the first race and he should give punters a good start to the day. He produced a promising debut effort over 1450m on the Classic course. He understandably raced green, but once finding his feet, he finished his race off strongly.

The son of Ideal World would have gained from the experience and he should love the rise to the mile. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the horse to beat.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Fanie Bronkhorst saddles Strike A Match in Race 4. She produced a typical second run after a rest in her last start over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course.

Her penultimate run when finishing second behind Kiss Me Captain catches the eye. The daughter of Master Of My Fate makes her Handicap debut and she is the best weighted runner. She is unbeaten under Chase Maujean and the combination are capable of keeping that record intact.

Please note that P Strydom is not riding today.
