Cheveley's National Yearling Sale draft

Cheveley Stud, one of the leading thoroughbred nurseries based in the Western Cape, has another excellent draft on offer at this year’s National Yearling Sale.

Breeders of notable performers like Bela-Bela, Legislate and Snowdance, Cheveley’s 2021 National Sale draft is made up of yearlings sired by all of Dynasty, Legislate, Master Of My Fate, Querari, The United States, Vercingetorix, What A Winter, and William Longsword.

Lot 83 -a Legislate half-brother to 3 stakes winners notably graded stakes winners Captain’s Flame and Fragrant Al

Lot 90 -a Master Of My Fate filly out of a Gr3 placed own sister to champion sprinter Talktothestars

Lot 105 -a Querari colt whose dam is a 3 time winning half-sister to three G1 winners

Lot 120 -a Dynasty half-sister to exported Gr1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Brave Mary

Lot 259 -a Dynasty half-brother to dual Gr1 winner Snowdance, who is closely related to the Dynasty sired champion Bela-Bela

Lot 408 -a Vercingetorix filly whose stakes placed dam is bred on similar lines to Horse Of The Year Legislate

Lot 438 -a What A Winter filly out of a full-sister to an Argentinian Gr1 winner

The farm’s grooms, who had a Futura yearling fetch R1 200 000 at the 2020 National Sale, will also be represented at this year’s sale.

Cheveley’s Grooms Programme will be offering a half-brother (Lot 249) to the aforementioned R1,2 million buy, with this colt sired by the hugely exciting young Galileo horse The United States.
