Irish stallion Lawman has one lot on the sale

Cape Thoroughbred Sales recently announced that their March Yearling Sale catalogue is available for viewing online.

CTS_colour logo - rgbThe two day sale, to be held at Durbanville racecourse, will take place over two days from March 20th to 21st.

Many of the Cape’s leading breeders will be represented at the sale, which will be taking place for the fourth year.

No fewer than 258 yearlings are catalogued to go through the sales ring at the end of next month, with the catalogue offering a range of sires to suit every buyer.

Leading local stallions represented on the March Sale include Captain Al, Dynasty, Fort Wood, Judpot, Trippi, Var and Western Winter.

Gimmethegreenlight – attracting plenty of attention at stud

Some of South Africa’s most exciting young sires are also well represented at Durbanville, with this group including the likes of Elusive Fort, Great Britain, Lateral, Mambo In Seattle, Querari, Seventh Rock and Warm White Night, while stallions represented by their first yearlings in 2015 include Bold Silvano, Dan De Lago, Gimmethegreenlight, Gitano Hernando and Philanthropist.

There is also a single yearling on offer by French Derby winner and leading Irish based stallion Lawman. Catalogued as lot 24, this colt is out of a half sister to Group 1 winning Klawervlei sire King’s Apostle –who is himself represented by five lots on the sale.
