Entries close at 11h00 on Wednesday, 6 January, with supplementary entries due by no later than 11h00 on Wednesday, 13 January for the much spoken about CTS Million Dollar, which is run at Kenilworth on 23 January 2016 – the Investec Day Of Dreams, which includes the Gr1 Klawervlei Majorca Stakes and the Gr1 Investec Cape Derby.
Declarations are due by 11h00 on Thursday, 14 January for Africa’s richest horserace ever.
The race is for 3yo’s and is restricted to eligible graduates of the 2014 Cape Premier Yearling Sale held on 23 and 24 January 2014 and the 2014 CTS March Yearling Sale held on 22 and 23 March 2014.
Saturday’s Listed Sophomore Sprint saw eight hopefuls make what is likely to be a final racetrack appearance before the big one and Mike Bass, who trains log-leader Silver Mountain, saw the Elusive Fort gelding Ernie stand up and throw his name into the hat.
Trainer Glen Puller and the Illuminator connections will be thrilled – the Trippi colt chased Ernie home in the Sophomore and could improve his slightly precarious log standing of 20!
