Save the online sale date - 29 November

Sorrento Stud’s Annabel Andrews is no less than over the moon with the farm’s draft for the 2020 CTS Ready To Run and Mixed Sale on 29 November.

Lot 62- Louis Diamond, by Louis The King

Of their seven foals consigned, she believes the bay filly Lot 62, Louis Diamond, is the pick, though the rest are on her heels in looks and quality.

“Louis Diamond is an absolute ‘bomb’, she is a splitting image of her full-sister Louis Gem, who won first time out and is entered for a G3 contest coming up in Gauteng. She is magnificent, with a beautiful temperament.”

  • Lot 4 f. Twice Over- Nu (IRE)

The first Sorrento lot on sale will be Lot 4, a Twice Over filly described as “really nice, big, tall and scopy”. She’s a half-sister to the precocious Meet At The George.

  • Lot 5 f. Master Of My Fate – Paradise Square

Also early through the ring will be Tankwa Star, a daughter of Master Of My Fate. “She has blossomed recently, turned into a beautiful filly. Her dam is a half-sister to the international stakes winner and sire, The Apache.”

  • Lot 37 c. Louis The King – Baltic Fury

King Magnus is a colt with “an elastic action” and Annabel said: “He’s magnificent, by Louis the King from a Qui Danzing mare, and from the family of Spring Storm.”

  • Lot 50 f. Soft Falling Rain – Fairyinthewind

Rain Of Peace is by Soft Falling Rain, immediately related to Roman Wall and Temple Grafin, and from the family of Horse Chestnut. “She’s a well-behaved filly, really nice with a big stride.”

  • Lot 62 f. Louis The King – Hope Downs

“Louis Diamond is an absolute ‘bomb’, she is a splitting image of her full-sister Louis Gem, who won first time out and is entered for a G3 contest coming up in Gauteng. She is magnificent, with a beautiful temperament.”

  • Lot 69 c. Louis The King – Miss Lovita

Top Man is a Louis The King colt from Miss Lovita, by Sportsworld. “He’s a big, strong colt with a long, flowing action,” noted Annabel.

  • Lot 74 c. Louis The King – Ntombe (AUS)

Lastly, The King’s Return, a first foal from the Stratum mare, Ntombe. He was a late foal and is not broken, but is solid and compact and well worth a look.

The sale, renowned for its high-profile winners and a return on investment, will be staged online in partnership with Gavelhouse.com on Sunday, 29 November.
