Beaumont – Plenty Of Variety

The sale starts at 14h00 on Sunday

Anton Shepherd of Beaumont Stud has consigned nine lots to the Sunday’s De Grendel CTS Ready To Run Sale, and he is especially excited about Lot 94, a filly by Pathfork from Lady Onassis, by National Assembly.

Shepherd enthused: “This is a well-made filly with speed written all over her; she is proper, with a nice action, and I think she will be one of the early two-year-old runners. Her dam is a full-sister to Historic Lady, ARCSA Champion two-year-old of 2005, and the speed comes from the National Assembly side. I think she will run like the wind!”

He touched on Beaumont’s other lots:

“Lot 20 is Oxford Orange by Duke Of Marmalade. Her dam is Hidden Secret, a half-sister to Promisefrommyheart, the dam of Master Of My Fate from one of the best families in the stud book. She is a solid specimen, and we know the Duke fillies can run.”

Lot 35 is a Querari colt from Maynoona, by Dubawi, seen as “a bit light, but with scope and will come on well.”

“We have a Master of My Fate filly, Medler’s Tart, from the young, Grade 1 placed, Trippi mare Taffety Tart (Lot 53) – her first foal won quickly. She has already had her first gallop at Kenilworth, looking good.”

“Lot 83 is also by Master Of My Fate, on the light side but will develop into something nice. She is from Flighty’s Last (Jallad), who has produced two winners from three runners.”

“Lot 93 is a neat, quality colt by Pomodoro, the second foal of a Captain Al mare from the family of Rebel King. He is nice – he will make any owner happy!”

Lot 112 is a Duke Of Marmalade colt from Toffee Nose by Kahal. “He is a big colt – 17 hands – and his dam has produced a four- and a six-time winner from five runners, so we will be hoping.”

Lot 113 is a Master Of My Fate colt from Trip Advisor by Trippi, her second foal. “I think ‘elegant’ is the right word to describe him. He has a lot of Trippi in him, a lovely colt of quality.”

Lot 114 represents the Dynasty/Captain Al cross in a bay colt by Jackson from Twilight Elva. “His dam is a half-sister to Kenny Trix; he comes from the extended family of Trademark and has scope.”
