Dawson’s Karoo Gold Can Glitter In KZN Today!

First due off @ 12h20

Today’s midweek racemeeting takes place on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack, with eight races carded for this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h20.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Candice Dawson sends out Karoo Gold in Race 2. He should have won his last start at Turffontein as he hung in the final 600m.

The tongue-tie seems to have done the trick on the son of Ideal World.

He meets the right field this afternoon and if suited to the polytrack surface, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Zoombomber from the Corne Spies stable takes his place in Race 5.

He finished 0.3 lengths behind Eventidor last time and is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today.

That should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He is likely to race on the speed once again and should be hard to peg back under Marco van Rensburg.

  • Race 6 – #9 ULTIMATE JEWEL – 245 day – change of ownership and given time to
    regain fitness.

  • Jockey Mathew Thackeray will not be riding today.
