Daylami/Silvano 1-2 in Dubai Gold Cup

Daylami's Whispering Gallery wins Gr3 Dubai Gold Cup

Godolphin’s Whispering Gallery, sent off as the 9-to-5 favorite, stalked pacesetter Bergo into the straight before surging ahead to capture the $200,000 Dubai Duty Free DRC Gold Cup Free (UAE-G3) by 21⁄4 lengths.
An English stakes winner last season, the five-year-old Daylami gelding covered 3200m in 3:29.44 in the longest race carded during the Carnival. English Group 2 winner Opinion Poll, the 5-to-2 second choice, finished third behind German Silvano gelding Bergo.

Whispering Gallery was bred by Darley. The 5yo gelding is the first foal Gr2 Sun Chariot Stakes winner, Echoes In Eternity.
