Derreck David For Mauritius

DD makes welcome return

Derreck David

Mauritius Hall Of Famer Derreck David could be set for a return to the island where he has achieved great heights in past years.

The South African-born David became one of only 14 jockeys to be inducted to the Mauritius Hall Of Fame in 2015.

The Licensing Committee of the Mauritius Turf Club has recommended to the Board Of Administrators that the green light be given to the following three jockey requests:

Derreck David (South Africa) – Alain Perdrau Stable

Imran Chisty (India) – Patrick Merven Stable

Jamie Theriot (USA) – Gujadhur Stable

The Licensing Committee is currently considering requests from Vincent Allet and Rameshwar Gujadhur to hire Darryl Holland (Great Britain) and Ryan Wiggins (Australia) respectively.
