Breaking News:Tarry July Jockey

Top trainer Gr1 replacements announced

Sean Tarry saddles Halve The Deficit and Whiteline Fever and aims for a historic hat-trick of wins

Sean Tarry is still on track for big race glory

Dual Vodacom Durban July winning trainer Sean Tarry has just confirmed that Raymond Danielson and Karl Neisius are his jockey choices to replace the indisposed S’manga Khumalo at Greyville on Saturday.

Khumalo hurt himself on Tuesday at the Vaal and has been stood down on doctor’s orders.

In a telephonic interview a few moments ago, Tarry told us that subject to confirmation, Raymond Danielson would take the ride on Whiteline Fever in the July and that Cape veteran rider Karl Neisius would be aboard the brilliant Carry On Alice in the Gr1 Golden Slipper.

“That’s the way I’m thinking and I am just awaiting confirmation,”said Tarry who is on the brink of history as he bids for a hat-trick of July victories.

He also saddles Halve The Deficit in the big race. His top patron Chris Van Niekerk has dominated the July landscape in the recent past and Tarry came within a heartbeat of stopping Mike De Kock in his tracks in the SA Champion Trainer race last season.
