Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale - all the info

It was Warren Buffett who said that ‘risk comes from not knowing what you are doing’.

He’d probably also agree that time is money!

And that’s exactly why the Ready To Run concept is so popular!

They are all 2yo’s and we’ve seen them in action. We also know where they are from. And we are thus armed near as dammit to the hilt to make a calculated call as to where they may be headed.

The one day Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale will be held at the TBA complex in Germiston on 3 November – the day after Charity Mile day at Turffontein, where the twelfth renewal of the Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup, which recently received a handsome shot in the pocket with a boosted R1 million stake, will be run. That’s a short-term target!

The 3yo 1400m contest is restricted to eligible graduates of the 2018 Emperors Palace Ready to Run Sale and the news that the stake, which is payable all the way down to tenth finisher, has been effectively doubled, will be well received by all stakeholders.
Recent graduates of this sale include former Horse Of The Year Igugu, as well as graded stakes winning stars Pierre Jourdan, Redcarpet Captain, Chestnuts And Pearls, Rich Girl, Tamaanee, Dylan’s Promise and the multiple stakes placed Spiritofthegroove.

A total of 145 lots have been catalogued for this year’s sale, with in-demand sires of the ilk of Duke Of Marmalade, Dynasty, Elusive Fort, Kingsbarns, Master Of My Fate, Pomodoro, Oratorio, Querari, Soft Falling Rain, Trippi, Var, Vercingetorix and What A Winter all represented.

There is plenty of variety with the first crops of exciting prospects like Dynasty’s Cape Guineas winning son Act Of War, Tapit’s well performed son Coup De Grace, the regally-bred Galileo horse Flying The Flag, Dynasty Horse Of The Year Futura, Galileo’s multiple graded stakes winning son Global View, Horse Of The Year Legislate and Dubawi’s very talented SA Nursery winning son Willow Magic.
