Classy Monks Hood returns today
A low-key eight race meeting is scheduled for the Scottsville inside track today, where an MR 96 Handicap carries the ‘feature’ tag.
Dingaans winner Monks Hood returns after an 11 week break and should start a warm order to register his third win. This 1400m race is a sharpener for the Gr2 Gauteng Guineas to be run at Turffontein on 3 March.
The Bipot gets under way in the first race at 13h10.
The going was posted as ‘good to soft’ yesterday afternoon, with a 30% chance of rain forecast.
