Trainer Johan Janse van Vuuren saddles Tsar Bomba in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the card. He followed up his debut victory with a good third-place finish over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course.

It must be noted that Moonshiningthrough has come out and won again since. The son of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to 1450m and from his good draw of two, he should take a power of beating.

Nordic Rebel from the in-form Erico Verdonese yard takes his place in Race 5. He ran a fair race in his last start over 1450m on this course. He was reported to be coughing that day.

It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Six of his eleven victories have come over this distance and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
