First off t 12h50

Eight races are carded on the polytrack at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon.

The first is due off at 12h50 with the lucky last set for 17h00.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer 7 saddles Ekoria in Race 2. She finished 0.1 lengths behind Peach Daiquiri last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. The daughter of Futura would have come on from the run and if suited to the polytrack, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Jacob’s Ladder from the Zietsman Oosthuizen yard takes his place in Race 5. He took on much stronger company in the Listed Tab4Racing Algoa Cup last time. He won a good race in his penultimate start over this course and distance. He has won four times and finished second twice from nine starts on this course. He takes a drop-in class and if putting his best foot forward, he should notch up his sixth career victory.

  •  The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h50
  •  The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h25
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 14h00
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h35
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 15h15
