After saddling a winner yesterday, the yard of Andre Nel sends out Mac Hardy in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the card. He produced an eye-catching debut effort over this course and distance, seven weeks ago.

He raced from a handy position and the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the horse to beat.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Gary Rich saddles Corner Crusade in the lucky last. She did not have luck in running in her last start over this course and distance. She clipped heels at the 800m mark and had no clear run up the straight.

She has won once, finished second four times and third once from seven starts over this course and distance. Richard Fourie takes the ride and with a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

Please note that MK Katjedi will not be riding today.
