The first race at Vaal Classic is off at 12h10

Racing takes place on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon and nine races are carded.

Piere Strydom has seven rides booked with a couple of decent winning chances and he may be the jockey worth following.

The first is due off at 12h10.

It must be noted that What A Honey has come out and won again since. The daughter of Flower Alley will strip a much fitter horse today and from her good draw of two, she can notch up her third career victory.

Brett Webber saddles Lucy In The Sky in Race 7 and she represents decent each way value. She is better than her last start in the Grade 2 TopBet Joburg Spring F & M Challenge.

She finished 1.45 lengths behind What A Honey in her penultimate effort. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this course and distance. The daughter of Noble Tune will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Please note: J Solomons will not be riding today (In Cape Town) and P Strydom will not be riding in Race 9 (Stipes Permission)
