Grilled Prawns with Lemon Butter and Savory Bread

Mmmmm, now that looks good

Phumelela’s caterers have ordered one and a half tons of prawns for this Saturday’s opening legs of the SASCOC Triple Crown and the Wilgerbosdrift SA Triple Tiara at Turffontein.

The Prawn Festival was an unqualified success at Kenilworth this past weekend with over 900kgs of prawns being sold on the Lektron raceday and Phumelela Executive Clyde Basel says that the Turffontein hospitality management will be taking no chances as a bumper crowd is anticipated.

29yja5iEntry forms are available through the Citizen and the exciting qualifying process is as follows:
Boxes of the numbers of the horses in the main race will be on display for the entrant to deposit their entry form into the box of the horse they fancy to win.

Ten finalists will be drawn from the box of the horse that wins and those finalists will receive plastic car keys to go home with and bring back on the day of the final leg of the Triple Crown.

The same happens at the 2nd and 3rd legs and then after the running of the SA Derby the 30 finalists will exchange their plastic key with 30 real VW keys.

Each finalist gets a chance to start the car (10 keys per car). Whoever starts the car gets to drive the brand new vehicle home.

There will be three winners.
