Taking A Global View

Ascot Stud's exciting sire

Ascot Stud’s beautifully bred young sire Global View received yet another impressive update to his pedigree following last Sunday’s Gr1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh.

This 1400m race (won previously by super sires Roberto, Sir Ivor, El Prado and Dubawi –as well as Highlands’ exciting sire Pathfork) was won in super impressive fashion by Churchill, who romped home by four and a quarter lengths, leaving recent Gr2 July Stakes/Richmond Stakes winner Mehmas struggling back in second.

Like Global View, Churchill is a son of the great sire Galileo out of a daughter of the great sire Storm Cat.

This cross has also produced young Coolmore sire and Gr1 Qipco 2000 Guineas winner Gleneagles, Gr1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Marvellous, champion Misty For Me and 2015 Gr1 Prix Marcel Boussac victress Ballydoyle.

Global View stands his first season in 2016 for a stud fee of R20 000.
