Racing today is at Borrowdale Park where seven races are carded. There is no racing currently in SA due to the nationwide lock down.

Gold Circle’s Racing Analyst Warren Lenferna was in touch with trainer Gokhan Terzi’s assistant Vanessa Birketoft in Zimbabwe.

The Terzi yard are regularly in the winners enclosure, both here in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Vanessa provided comments on their runners:

  • Race 1:

STREET FIGHT (1) Has improved at home and should run closer this time. SAFIYAA (2) Will need the experience. VAINLIKETHAT (3) is the stable elect but has WILLFULL PATH (4) to beat.

Race 2: PETRONI VINI (1) Has come off a long layoff and will need the run. CLIFTON BRAWLER (2) is better over this distance and should place. MHONDORO (4) is looking for further and will need the experience. FENDI GIRL (7) will need the run.

  • Race 3:

HILLAH THE HUN (4) place chance in an open race. HOLD THE BISCUIT (5) Currently has no jockey carded to ride her – check card changes to see if she runs. ROSE DIAMOND (6) has the blinkers now and is better than her current form.

  • Race 4:

MOXIE (6) she is up in class but will be competitive off a low weight.

  • Race 5:

WHENDOVESCRY (3) is scratched.

  • Race 6:

FIRE TO THE REIN (4) will be very competitive with blinkers on.

  • Race 7:

CLASH CITY ROCKER (1) Meets the right field and should be right there – the apprentice allowance should help as well. IT TAKES TWO (2) Place chance at best. IN GOOD TIME (4) she is in good form and is distance suited.

Thanks to the Terzi team.

Racing starts at 13h30.
