Water Like Gold – Every Drop Counts!

Racing operator and transport contractor reach out

There is a desperate need for water in Cape Town due to the water shortages as a result of the drought.

As part of their Corporate Social Initiative, Gold Circle, in partnership with New Turf Carriers, will transport 5 litre bottles of water to Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town, at the end of February 2018.

Gold Circle are appealing to staff, owners, trainers and anyone who is passionate about horses, to contribute sealed bottles of 5L water towards this project.

Their aim is to ensure that they have a full truck-load to transport to Cape Town.

Horses require between 50 to 100 litres of water per day. Gold Circle are hoping that this project will make a difference both for the people of Cape Town – in particular staff, owners, trainers and their families at Kenilworth – as well as the horses based there.

The bottles of water can be delivered on a daily basis, to the Distribution department at Greyville Racecourse, or the Gold Circle Admin Departments at Summerveld and Ashburton. The deadline for collections is 16h00 on 28 February 2018.

Should you have any questions or queries regarding this initiative, please feel free to contact Robert Harvey on 031 314 1833 or e-mail [email protected].
