Confidence About Bivoauc

Godolphin head trainer James Cummings is approaching Saturday’s Gr1 Black Caviar Lightning at Randwick, loaded with confidence.

Although acknowledging the quality threat of the opposition by saying, “This high-class field shouldn’t be underestimated…” Cummings waxed lyrical about Bivouac who destroyed a high-class field in November’s Gr1 Darley Sprint Classic (1200m) at headquarters.

Deadly down the straight – Bivouach a big runner

“He loves the Flemington straight as he demonstrated winning two of his three Group 1s here. He will come into this race full of confidence after that impressive trial at Rosehill… He’s going to be serving it up to them again.”

Aware of the race’s heritage, Cummings said, “History confirms just how significant this race is, have a look at the long list of champions its produced.”

The past 10 winners were Gytrash, In Her Time, Redkirk Warrior, Terravista, Chautauqua, Lankan Rupee, Snitzerland, Black Caviar, Black Caviar and Black Caviar.
