Cape Guineas - big day on the cards

A North-South duel is on the cards after a total of seventeen entries were received on Monday for the R750 000 Gr1 Cape Guineas at Kenilworth on 19 December.

A winner of the Gr3 Graham Beck Stakes at home, and a fluent victor in the Avontuur Gr2 Concorde Cup at Kenilworth at his last outing, the 114 rated Malmoos takes on emerging local star Seeking The Stars (117), who won the Gr3 Cape Classic and the CTS Ready To Run Stakes at his last two starts.

Malmoos has won at a mile, while Seeking The Stars steps up in trip from the 1400m in the Guineas.
