Sail South defends his title

Phillipi trainer Brett Crawford crowned his best ever season at home and away last term when he saddled the 2017 Gr1 Champions Cup exacta at Greyville on Super Saturday.

2017 flashback – Sail South beats Captain America – they meet again

It was an overdue first Gr1 success for the then 6yo Sail South, who beat trojan stablemate, Captain America.

Both are back for the 2018 renewal, and the Crawford attack is bolstered by Gr1 Gold Challenge winner, Undercover Agent.

The final field for the R1 million Gr1 Champions Cup to be run over 1800m at Greyville on 28 July includes the Gr1 Daily News 2000 winner, Surcharge.
