Time To Shine

Gr1 Hong Kong Sprint contender is ready

A daughter of Cape-based sire Time Thief and one of Australia’s most consistent sprinters has arrived safely in Hong Kong ahead of the Territory’s biggest weekend of the year, reports AAP.

Wonderfully consistent at Gr1 level, In Her Time (Time Thief-Hell It’s Hot, by Zeditave) is a one-horse act insofar as Australian representation is concerned at the 2019 Hong Kong International Races.

Set to be ridden by Brenton Avdulla, the Kris Lees-trained 7YO mare is racing as well as ever, running a gallant third at her last start in the Gr1 Darley Sprint Classic at Flemington during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Following a good quality gallop at Newcastle before her departure, Lees says he won’t do much with In Her Time before Sunday’s Gr1 Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) where her opposition will include rising Hong Kong sprint star Aethero, a half-brother to Australian-based Classique Legend who is also owned by Hong Kong connections.
