Waller’s Quintet To Emulate Winx?

A$2 million Randwick feature on Saturday

Addeybb has drawn barrier one while fellow favourite Danon Premium will jump from barrier three in Saturday’s A$2 million Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes to be run over 2000m at Randwick.

The pair were joint favourites prior to the declaration of the final field on Tuesday for the weight-for-age Group One.

Chris Waller – five runners

The two in-form riders will be aboard the fancied pair, with James McDonald riding Japanese entrant Danon Premium, while Tom Marquand will once again partner Addeybb for William Haggas.

Third favourite Te Akau Shark has drawn his best barrier in Australia, coming up with gate eight in the field of 13 runners.

Opie Bosson will ride Te Akau Shark with Kerrin McEvoy jumping aboard the Jamie Richards-trained stablemate Melody Belle.

The 10-time Gr1 winning mare will back-up from the Doncaster, where she ran a gallant fourth following a tough run.

Superstar mare Winx has won the past three editions of the 2000m feature and trainer Chris Waller will have five runners in the field as he looks to keep the trophy in his stable.

His main hope is Verry Elleegant who will be looking to turn the tables on Addeybb from their meeting in the Gr1 Ranvet on March 2.
