Hong Kong Simulcast For Met

But no show on Turffontein Saturday card

While it was only mentioned fleetingly by Clyde Basel on the Sun Met panel discussion, Sun Met Day will be simulcast for betting to Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced on their website that they will simulcast seven races from the Met Day meeting at Kenilworth racecourse of Cape Town in South Africa on Saturday, 1 February.

The first race they are taking is off at 19h50 their time.

Interestingly, as pointed out by a few Sporting Post readers, the Sun Met is not incorporated into the Turffontein race card for Saturday.

We have asked TAB for clarity as to the reasoning behind this decision.

The Vodacom Durban July is a popular add on to Turffontein programme when the ‘July In Jozi’ day is widely promoted.
