Just William’s July Day Thoughts

Not keen on Strathdon in Pick 6 opener

July People’s Perm co-ordinator William Milkovitch gives his thoughts and selections for Saturday at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

He writes that it’s his humble opinion that Race 3, 4 & 8 look the most intriguing.

William Milkovitch – the co ordinator!

I feel that Mr. Tarry will dominate Race 3.

I’m not keen on Strathdon in the 4th and haven’t selected Charles in my top four, however, he (Charles) must have a very good chance of a place.

I’m interested to see how the two EP raiders, Evolver & Multi Gold  perform, with preference for MG.

I’m certainly not keen on much in the two Juvenile Features. My selections for races 5 & 6 should be observed purely for roving banker type bets, with the FIELD included.

I’m very keen on Tristful in race 8, as well as the big outsider, Luna Child.

In the July, I’ll go for Hawwaam. It’s not often that I plum for the favourite in the big one. I give the outsider DoubleMint a good e/w chance and have a late premonition for Uncle Dennis’s gallant filly, Lady in Black.

Dennis Drier’s Lady In Black wins Gr1 Thekwini

My early thoughts were that she can’t stay the 2200m but she is a Dynasty !  I now have turned a blind eye about her distance preference, for better or for worse.

My fourth and fifth choices are Head Honcho and Rainbow Bridge. I reckon, head-to-head, Rainbow Bridge will finish in front of Do It Again.

With all that said, I haven’t even got the well handicapped Eyes Wide Open in my top 5 ! Remember, after his Cape Derby win, 18 months ago, Richard Fourie declared that Eyes Wide Open was the real deal for The July.

The early talk that this July is all about the Big 3, well that’s just wishful thinking for me.

Earlier in the card, in race 2, I’m going to venture a big quartet bet with On That Boulevard.

My race-by-race selections are shown below.

I’d like to bow out singing “Don’t Cry for me Argentina, the truth is I never win big”

The selections:

Race 1 : Strawberry Wine – Ancient Spirit – Accidental Tourist – Rocking Ruby

Race 2 :  On That Boulevard – Filippo – Singfonico – Chantyman

Race 3 : Run Red – Silver God – Zillzaal – Shenanigans   (Tarry 1-2-3-4)  maybe 1-2-3-4-5 !!

Race 4 : Dynasty’s Blossom – Multi Gold – Sunshine Silk – Ballad Of The Sea

Race 5 :  Roll In The Hay – Royal Lily – True To Life – Mawsool

Race 6 : Putontheredlight – Eden Roc – Justinian

The July : Hawwaam – Doublemint – Lady In Black – Head Honcho

Race 8 : Tristful – Q The Music – Luna Child – Crown Towers

Race 9 : Santa Clara – Snowdance – Front And Centre – Oh Susanna

Race 10 : Baby Shooz – Master Jay – African Warrior – Kaydens Pride

Race 11 : Van Halen

Race 12 : Graduate – Priceless Ruler – Stream Ahead – Mr Greenlight (I hope he get’s in)

There is still time to get involved in the People’s Perm – email [email protected]
