July Stepping Stone Looks Tricky

Preferential consideration ticket for the big one

Ten of the thirteen runners that will line up in the R500 000 Gr2 WSB 1900 at Greyville on 19 May are Vodacom Durban July entries and will be looking to cement their claims to a berth in the final field.

It’s My Turn – worth another chance this year

The winner of this feature will receive preferential consideration for inclusion in the final field for the big race on 7 July.

Dean Kannemeyer saddles one of the 2017 fancies It’s My Turn (5-1 with Hollywood) and the hardknocking Peninsula Handicap runner-up The Slade, who takes on a diverse bunch that includes Glen Kotzen’s 3yo Pack Leader, who looks capable of being competitive throughout this season.

Pack Leader is quoted at 7-2 by Hollywood.
