Adam Marcus capped a memorable season for his Horse Chestnut filly Brave Move who won her first Gr3 race and made it six wins on the trot when storming home to win the R250 000 Final Fling Stakes at Kenilworth on Saturday – the last Cape feature of the 2017/18 season.

Brave Move has proven the epitome of consistency and has earned at all of her career starts.
Facing her toughest challenge to date, she relaxed in midfield and when given the office at the 350m marker Brave Move lengthened her stride and drew clear under regular rider Aldo Domeyer to beat the talented Fresnaye by 1,75 lengths in a time of 111,73 secs.
The year younger Fresnaye has also proven very consistent and she held off Party Crasher by 0,75 lengths.
Dynasty’s Blossom was the disappointment of the race – fading out to run last.
A daughter of Horse Chestnut (Fort Wood) out of the three-time winner Brave Bid (Qui Danzig).

A 2015 National 2yo Sale R100 000 graduate, the Sandown Stud-bred Brave Move has won 7 races with 4 places from her 11 starts – a 100% earning strike at every outing – for stakes of R613 450.
Brave Move could be ready for a Gr1 challenge in the Cape Summer Season.
