Pipeburst And Downpours Delay Greyville

Two races in jeopardy

An apparent overnight pipeburst just past the finish line at Greyville, coupled with the downpours on Sunday, compromised a patch on the all-weather track at the pull-up.

The panel inspects the track

“The jockeys jockeys think it is not safe. The Vet and Track Manager think it is,” said Gold Circle Director Paul Lafferty.

The track was to be harrowed one final time at just before 17h00 with two races to be run.
