Gwen Stefani For Meydan

Star act for 30 March extravaganza

Three-time GRAMMY® Award winner Gwen Stefani will bring down the curtain on the $35 million Dubai World Cup—the world’s richest day of horseracing and UAE’s premier sporting and social event—on March 30, 2019. The performance will be the iconic recording artist’s first major concert in the UAE.

A three-time GRAMMY® Award winner, Gwen Stefani has achieved worldwide success as a performer, songwriter and recording artist, selling more than 30 million albums with No Doubt and as a multi-platinum solo artist.

In 2016, Stefani released her critically praised third album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and featured the #1 single “Used To Love You.” This Is What The Truth Feels Like followed her other solo albums—Love.Angel.Music.Baby and The Sweet Escape—which featured the hit singles “Rich Girl,” “Sweet Escape,” “What Are You Waiting For?” and the Pharrell Williams-produced #1 hit “Hollaback Girl.”

Scores of accolades honour Stefani’s accomplishments. In addition to her three GRAMMY® Awards, Stefani has been honoured with four MTV Video Music Awards, two Billboard Awards, an American Music Award, Brit Award and much more. Stefani took her passion for music to encourage young singers as their coach on three seasons of NBC’s four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice.”

Stefani, who is currently starring in Gwen Stefani: Just a Girl in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood, has also made a name for herself through her charity work, supporting numerous causes, including donating US$1 million to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund in 2011.

“I am really excited to perform at the Dubai World Cup,” Stefani said. “Dubai is such a beautiful city and I look forward to experiencing and being part of this prestigious event.”

The concert will take place on the Apron Views stage at 9:30 p.m., following the world’s richest horse race, the $12 million Dubai World Cup sponsored by Emirates Airline, which has a post time of 8:40 p.m. Gates open at 12:00 p.m. and the first race will be contested at 3:45 p.m.

Tickets start at AED350 for Apron Views, while numerous other hospitality ticket packages are also available.

Access to the show is exclusive to Dubai World Cup ticket holders, so in order to “Wind It Up” with Gwen Stefani, proceed to store.meydan.ae to purchase.
