Dynasty Filly Trending Again Today

Unbeaten star for Scottsville on Wednedsay

Trainer Dean Kannemeyer’s unbeaten Dynasty filly Hashtagyolo makes her debut as a 4yo when she steps out in a Barrier Trial at Scottsville on Wednesday.

Unbeaten in three starts during her 3yo career with smart victories to her credit in the KZN Guineas Trial and the Gr3 Flamboyant Stakes, Hashtagyolo was sent to Gauteng for the Highveld Season but was set back by a virus and never ran there.

Well rested – her last appearance was a cracking win in the Flamboyant Stakes on 31 December 2017 – she starts her campaign on Wednesday with a stretch in the KZN Capital City.

Dean Kannemeyer – Hashtagyolo starts her campaign

“She is a beautiful filly and has filled out and matured into a lovely specimen. We have brought her back slowly and I will be discussing a possible Cape Summer campaign with her owners. She is a high-class valuable filly as she stands and we need to plan her programme carefully,” said the top trainer.

A R1,1 million BSA National Yearling Sale graduate, the Varsfontein Stud-bred Hashtagyolo races for Bruce le Roux and Tinus Gericke and is a daughter of champion producer Dynasty (Fort Wood) out of the one-time winner My Guiding Star (Jallad).

She is thus bred on the same Dynasty/Jallad cross as Kannemeyer’s Equus Champion and Gr1 winner It’s My Turn, as well as the top-class Eyes Wide Open.

Hashtagyolo hails from one of Varsfontein’s signature families, that of Secret Pact, the multiple stakes-winning own sister to Horse of the Year London News.

Her dam, the winning Jallad mare My Guiding Star, is out of Secret Pact’s champion daughter Promisefrommyheart (Elliodor), who also produced the farm’s young stallion Master Of My Fate (Jet Master).
