Just 24 hours after he booted the exciting Gimmies Countess to victory in the Baker McVeigh Gr3 Diana Stakes, Winning Form-sponsored jockey Serino Moodley rides Shotgun Willie from the Andre Nel stable in Race 8.
The gelding was running on when second over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time.He won his only attempt over this course and distance.
He does have an awkward draw of eight to contend with, but Moodley knows him well and he should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
The high-riding Moodley has seven rides on the day.
Trainer Mike de Kock sends out Artist’s Model in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the programme.
He showed good improvement when second in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.
He finished strongly but found one too good in the form of Actor.
He is a progressive type and with Muzi Yeni retaining the ride, he should be the one to beat..
