After experiencing a substantial downpour of 22mm of rain overnight, certain track sections of Hollywoodbets Durbanville have become waterlogged, with more rain forecast today.

Cape Racing have advised that the possibility of rescheduling the racemeeting to Monday, 31 July is being considered. Their team is actively exploring all feasible alternatives and further updates will be communicated.

Cape Racing: Executive Racing and Bloodstock, Justin Vermaak stressed the importance of prioritizing safety.

“Postponing a racemeeting is never an easy choice but the overnight rainfall and anticipated rainfall for today leaves us with no option but to prioritise the safety of our horses, jockeys and spectators.  We understand the disappointment this may cause, but safety will always be our top priority.”
