In The Fast Lane

South African champion 3-year-old filly In The Fast Lane (SAf) (Jet Master {SAf}) has cleared quarantine after three months in Mauritius and arrived at part-owner Andrew Cohen’s Wood Hall Stud in Hertfordshire where she will be trained by William Haggas, reported Racing Post.

A winner of the Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas and Gr1 Woolavington 2000, In The Fast Lane was previously trained by Justin Snaith.

“I was there when she won in Cape Town and it’s a nice addition to have a genuine Group 1 horse,” said Haggas to Racing Post. “Quite how the form matches up I don’t know, but she was a talented filly over there and she wants a mile and a quarter on fast ground. We will see how she goes.”

Added Cohen, “She has proved herself the best of her generation in South Africa and we feel she has done as much as she can there. With the quarantine regulations it makes it difficult for horses there to run on the international stage and we have decided to give our filly a chance to do that because she deserves it.”
