SA Champ Carries On In Style

Snitzel colt should attract interest

Sean Tarry’s former stable star, and dual Equus Champion, Carry On Alice is set to be represented at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale later this morning.

The five time Gr1 winning daughter of Captain Al will have her first foal, a colt by multiple champion Australian sire Snitzel, go through the ring -and hopes are high for the handsome colt.

He is expected through the ring around 10h30 our time.

Catalogued as Lot 236, the Snitzel – Carry On Alice colt, pictured above, is consigned to the sale by Arrowfield Stud, As Agent.

His dam was a remarkable racemare, and one of the very best daughters of multiple champion sire Captain Al.

Carry On Alice, South Africa’s Champion Sprinter and Older Female of 2016-2017, won Gr1 races at two, three, four and five, while establishing herself as one of the finest sprinters of her generation.

Australia’s Champion Sire of 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020 Snitzel continues to make a spectacular impact on Australian racing & breeding, setting new benchmarks of performance as a world-class sire and a big-race stallion par excellence.

He headed the 2019/20 General Sires’ Premiership by Stakeswinners (18) & Stakes Wins (25), as well as A$17.8 million prizemoney – $2 million clear of his nearest rival.

Those stakeswinners included his 14th Group 1 winner I Am Excited, outstanding 2YO Away Game, Group-winning 3YOs Exhilarates & Splintex, Champion Sprinter Redzel in his final season, and classy mares Irithea & Sylvia’s Mother.
