Inglis Sale up by 10%

The 2013 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale saw a 10 percent rise in average from last year.
408 yearlings sold for $AU32,079,912, with an average of $AU78,627, a median of $AU60,000 and a 76% clearance rate.
An active international buying bench spread across South Africa (32 lots), Hong Kong (15), Singapore (12) and Japan (3) increased their spend from 2012

Jehan Malherbe’s Form Bloodstock was one of the most active international buyers, securing eight lots for $AU678,00 at an average of $84,750.

Malherbe’s buys included a beautiful chestnut colt by Galileo (lot 199), the first foal of a well-related mare by Danehill Dancer, as well as a Rock Of Gibraltar filly (Lot 212), from a mare whose two previous foals are both five-time winners, one a stakes performer
