Inquiry: Charl Pretorius

Inquiry – Mr Charl Pretorius

At an inquiry concluded in Johannesburg on 18 July 2011, an Inquiry Board, chaired by Advocate John Myburgh SC, considered whether the article published by Mr Charl Pretorius on his website on 15 October 2010 had the effect of discrediting horseracing and bringing into disrepute the good name of the Racing Operator, Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited, in contravention of Rule 72.1.26.

The Inquiry Review Board at its meeting held on 9 September 2011 confirmed the Inquiry Board finding that Mr Pretorius had contravened Rule 72.1.26 and imposed a fine of R10 000.
