With KINGMAN’s first runners being eagerly anticipated this year, his book includes some top-class mares. Gr.1 winners Emulous (Dansili/Aspiring Diva), Promising Lead (Danehill/Arrive) and Romantica (Galileo/Banks Hill) will be visiting the Champion Miler, as well as the Group-winning maiden mares Fair Eva (Frankel/African Rose) and Suffused (Champs Elysees/Scuffle).

With FRANKEL having made an outstanding start to his career at stud – with a quarter of his runners to date gaining blacktype – the dams of some of his best early runners are returning to him in 2018, including Gr.1 winner African Rose (Observatory/New Orchid), the dam of Fair Eva and Herculean; Gr.1 winner Heat Haze (Green Desert/Hasili), the dam of Mirage Dancer; Gr.3 winner Mirabilis (Lear Fan/Media Nox), the dam of Monarchs Glen; Very Good News (Empire Maker/Hasili), the dam of Weekender. Other mares of note include the Gr.1 winners Emollient (Empire Maker/Soothing Touch) and Timepiece (Zamindar/Clepsydra) and the Gr.1 producers Soviet Moon (Sadler’s Wells/Eva Luna), the dam of Derby and Arc winner Workforce; and Winter Sunrise (Pivotal/Winter Solstice), the dam of Nassau winner Winsili. The Group-winning two-year-olds Helleborine (Observatory/New Orchid), Lucky Kristale (Lucky Story/Pikaboo) and Visit (Oasis Dream/Arrive) are also in the book.

BATED BREATH’s career to date has closely mirrored that of his outstanding sire DANSILI, and Juddmonte is continuing to support him strongly with Showcasing’s dam Arabesque (Zafonic/Prophecy), Broodmare Of The Year Binche (Woodman/Binary) and the Gr.3 winner Tested (Selkirk/Prove), as well as Ombre (Galileo/Revealing), the dam of BATED BREATH’s promising daughter Gavota. He is also covering full/half-sisters to Arc winner Rail Link and Champion racemare Midday. DANSILI’s book includes Shutter Speed’s dam Photographic (Oasis Dream/Prophecy), while OASIS DREAM will be covering the dam of his highly promising three-year-old prospect Imaging – the Listed winner Mirror Lake (Dubai Destination/Reflections).

Some of the matings which require little explanation are Exemplify (Dansili/Quest To Peak), the dam of Expert Eye, returning to Acclamation; Enable’s dam Concentric (Sadler’s Wells/Apogee) going to Nathaniel; Winter Silence (Dansili/Hunt The Sun), the dam of Gr.1 horses Ice Breeze and Snow Sky, returning to Nayef; Nell Gwyn winner Hot Snap’s dam Midsummer visiting Pivotal; and FRANKEL’s dam Kind (Danehill/Rainbow Lake) and her daughter Joyeuse (Oasis Dream/Kind) both visiting Galileo – along with Champion Two-Year-Old and dual Classic winner Special Duty (Hennessy/Quest To Peak). Gr.1 winner Passage Of Time (Dansili/Clepsydra) is returning to Dubawi – a mating that has already produced the Gr.2 winner and new stallion Time Test (who is being supported by Juddmonte) – along with multiple Gr.1 winner Proviso (Dansili/Binche), Famous Name’s Group-winning sister Big Break (Dansili/Fame At Last) and Enable’s half-sister Contribution (Champs Elysees/Concentric).

A second-season sire being strongly supported is New Bay, whose book includes daughters of Heat Haze, Intercontinental and Banks Hill, as well as half-sisters to Workforce and Passage Of Time. Whilst Gr.1-winning sisters Banks Hill (Danehill/Hasili) and Intercontinental (Danehill/Hasili) are both visiting first-season sons of Galileo this year – with Banks Hill going to Ulysses and Intercontinental visiting Churchill.

Some of the mares visiting established sires in 2018 include Gr.2 winner Treat Gently (Cape Cross/Kid Gloves) to Teofilo; Flintshire’s Group-producing half-sister Deliberate (King’s Best /Dance Routine) and ITV star Responsible (Oasis Dream/Hasili) to Siyouni; and Classic-placed Vote Often (Beat Hollow/Minority) to Sea The Stars. Ruscombe (Dansili/Eva Luna) and Spice Trail (Champs Elysees/Cinnamon Bay) are both half-sisters to Classic winners who are visiting Lope De Vega; Gr.2 winner Modern Look, the dam of Gr.1 performer Grand Jete, is visiting Kodiac, while Gr.3 winner Hot Snap and KINGMAN’s half-sister Present Tense are both being covered by Invincible Spirit.
