July In Jozi

Note - amended racetimes for today at Turffontein

While it’s playing the poorer cousin in terms of media exposure, today’s Turffontein standside track meeting should attract a decent sized crowd to the popular ‘July In Jozi’ event.

The homegrown spin of creating the July day in Gauteng has proven a winner over the years and the fashion, big screen live transmission from Greyville and the oncourse programme, which starts at a revised time of 11h55, is not a bad second prize for those unable to make it to the holiday province.

Revised off times:

Race 1- 11:55, Race 2 – 12:40, Race 3 – 13:25, Race 4 – 14:10, Race 5 – 14:50, Race 6 – 15:30, Race 7- 16:20, Race 8 – 16:55, Race 9 – 17:40

The false rail is set at 4m on the back straight to 8m on the bend, with an 8m spur at the 700m mark.
