Gavin Lerena to impress today? (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Tsar Bomba from the Johan Janse van Vuuren stable takes his place in Race 3 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He was ultra-impressive when winning his last start over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. He raced from a handy position, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. He received a seven-pound penalty for that victory.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight looks to be above average and he can notch up his third career victory.

Trainer Alec Laird sends out Rockets Red Glare in Race 7. She is better than her last two starts over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course.

She has dropped in the ratings and gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Siyanda Sosibo. The daughter of The United States won on debut with ease over this course and distance. She is a filly with ability and is capable of finding her best form in this line-up.
