Cape Raiders Aim To Keep Cup

No local winner since 2009

Two Western Cape raiders will contest the R 85 000 Listed Algoa Cup to be run over 2000m on the Fairview Polytrack on Friday.

Henk Steenkamp writes that the Candice Bass-Robinson trained Majestic Mozart will carry top weight in the race and trainer Andre Nel will be represented by Silver De Lange.

Eastern Cape champion trainer Alan Greeff has three runners in the race and Gavin Smith and Montana Turner two each.

Sharon Kotzen is the other local trainer that will be trying for the first East Cape victory since 2009 in this race.
