Bosch Could Take The Cup Today

First off at 12h45

The tempo has been raised a few notches in KZN.

The Snaith runners in today’s Hollywoodbets Greyville feature, the Listed Kings Cup, are a sure sign that the SA Champions Season is on the horizon.

That said, the visitors don’t look likely to start on a winning note.

Sean Tarry saddles Silver God and the SA Champion won this race three years running before the Cup landed in a local cabinet last year – and another local in Dennis Bosch could hold the key with the grey Silvano gelding , Born To Perform.

The enigmatic athlete looks nicely in off his 52kg mark and comes in fit.

Tarry’s Silver God is a little in and out and failed to stay on when disappointing in the Drum Star at Turffontein last time out. Luke Ferraris is replaced by Denis Snhwarz.

Amor Ardiente has drawn widest of all but comes in with a dangerous galloping weight and could be a place prospect.

Brett Crawford’s G G’s Dynasty is a model of consistency and has won 5 of his last 7 starts. He continues to lift his game and must have a big shout here of a top three finish.

Tristful is a kilo better off with G G’s Dynasty on their last start on the all-weather and has the look of an improver.

First of the Snaith duo, and jumping from pole position, Knights Templar has been slightly disappointing but had excuses in his last outing. His stablemate, Jet Master Stakes winner Crown Towers benefitted from an inspired ride by Bernard Fayd’herbe last time and comes in with his tail up.

Capoeira ran a cracker in the Jet Master Stakes but meets his short-head conqueror Crown Towers on 1,5kgs worse terms.

Seattle Force has changed stables and has his second run in KZN after fading out in the umThombothi Stakes when 6,25 lengths behind Blackball last time. In theory, he could well enjoy the Hollywoodbets Greyville circuit as a dangerous front-runner and must be included.

Camphoratus is a solid mare and as a former Gr1 winner must always be considered. She carries topweight of 61kgs and looks to have plenty to do.
