American Pharoah, at this point in his 3-year-old season, no longer tops the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.

Golden Horn used a victory in the Coral-Eclipse last weekend at England’s Sandown Park to pass the Triple Crown winner. The victory moved him to 5-for-5 in his career and came against older horses, a class against which American Pharoah has yet to run.

A turf specialist, Golden Horn’s rating is 130 ahead of American Pharoah’s 128. Other American horses ranked in the top 20include Shared Belief (tied for third), Firing Line (tied for 14th) and California Chrome (tied for 16th).

American Pharoah, at this point in his 3-year-old season, no longer tops the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.off his Belmont Stakes win in June. The rankings will next be updated Aug. 13, after American Pharoah runs in Monmouth Park’s Grade I Haskell Invitational.
