One World At 25-1 For L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate

Rainbow Bridge is marginal favourite

Hollywood have priced up ante-post on the R1 million Gr1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate to be run at Kenilworth on 5 January 2019.

While Rainbow Bridge is a marginal favourite ahead of Legal Eagle who beat him in the Green Point Stakes recently, it is interesting to see the impact of Saturday’s Cape Guineas outcome with winner Soqrat priced at 8-1, while original Guineas favourite One World, who ran third on Saturday is all of 25-1.

The Queen’s Plate entry date was extended to 11h00 today and after Buffalo Bill Cody’s impressive victory at Turffontein on Monday – his fifth win from 6 stats – he is another who will have his supporters in the prestigious mile on 5 January and the Sun Met three weeks later.

Declarations are due by 11h00 on Thursday 20 December.
