Visitors to Meydan Racecourse will have the chance to see future stars of the track in action over a 1400m race ahead of the 2000 Guineas for colts and the 1000 Guineas for fillies, held next month.

Mubtaahij, the 2015 UAE Derby winner who went on to contest two of the USA’s premier races, the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes, landed the UAE 2000 Guineas Trial on this card in 2015.

Local Time, who claimed the fillies’ race on the same card went on to land the UAE Guineas and Oaks as well as the Group 3 International Istanbul Trophy in Turkey.

Godolphin’s Local Time, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor and ridden by James Doyle, claimed the 2015 renewal of the UAE 1000 Guineas Trial

Also on the card are the classy Listed contests, the 1200m Dubawi Stakes on the dirt track, won in 2015 by former Dubai Golden Shaheen star, Reynaldothewizard and the 1800m Singspiel Stakes on the turf, claimed in 2015 by True Story. The evening will also feature one race held outside the Dubai World Cup Carnival.
